Friday, October 8, 2010Race #1 - SUPER SPRINT250m Swim :: 7mi Bike :: 1mi Run The American Triple-T North Carolina starts everything off with the SUPER SPRINT, a mere warm-up in comparison to the rest of the races, but this short race will be the first opportunity for participants to test out their legs before the “real” racing starts on Saturday and Sunday. The swim starts off in time-trail format in the crystal clear White Lake with participants going off every 1-3 seconds on a spectator friendly rectangle swim course in front of FFA Camp. Participants will then mount their bike for a flat and fast, 7 mile loop around the lake. After completing this fast 7 mile course participants will take on a super fast 1 mile run before the grand finish back at the FFA Camp. Saturday, October 9, 2010Race #2 - OLYMPIC AM1500m Swim :: 40k Bike :: 10k Run The American Triple-T North Carolina starts to get serious on Saturday morning during the OLYMPIC AM race. The 1500 meter swim starts off in time-trail format with participants going off every 1-3 seconds on a two-lap clockwise rectangle swim course along the shoreline of White Lake. Participants will then mount their bike for a scenic flat and fast 40k course NO AID STATIONS ON BIKE COURSE. After completing the bike course participants will take on a scenic flat and fast out and back 10k run that features spectacular views of the lake and surrounding community. Water, Ice, HEED and Hammer Gel at transition exit, mile #1, #2, and #3.1.
Saturday, October 9, 2010Race #3 - OLYMPIC PM40k Bike - 1500m Swim - 10k Run After a few hours of rest, the American Triple-T North Carolina race number 3 gets started at 3:00pm on Saturday. This uniquely formatted triathlon starts with the bike first. Starting in a time-trial format, this fast 40k course is a new route from the previous 40k course. NO AID STATIONS ON THE BIKE COURSE. After completing the bike course participants will take on a 1500 meter swim on a two-lap clockwise rectangle swim course along the shoreline of White Lake. After completing the swim (which will cause many to wonder if they can do the run), participants will take on a scenic flat and fast out and back 10k run that features spectacular views of the lake and surrounding community. Water, Ice, HEED and Hammer Gel at transition exit, mile #1, #2, and #3.1.
Sunday, October 10, 2010Race #4 - HALF IRON1.2mi Swim - 56mi Bike - 13.1mi Run Many participants will wake on Sunday morning feeling like there is no way they can do a triathlon, let alone a half iron. Yet all will drag themselves to the start line to experience what only a few have – the final day of an American Triple-T race. This will be the day you won’t soon forget. It starts off with a two-lap 1.2 mile swim on a clockwise rectangle swim course along the shoreline of White Lake. Next up is a scenic and fast 56 mile bike course. Aid stations at mile #15, #25, #35, & #45 with Water & HEED (in bottles), Hammer Gel, Cookies, Coke and Fruit. After finishing the bike course participants will tackle a scenic flat and fast 2-lap 13.1mi run that features spectacular views of the lake and surrounding community. Water, Ice, HEED, Hammer Gel, Cookies, Coke and Fruit at transition exit (Lap 2 TA), mile #1, #2, and #3.25 - YOU WILL PASS BY THE AID STATIONS 6-TIMES PER LAP. |
